Video CVs

What is a video CV?

A video CV is a short video introduction where you present your skills, experience, personality, and career goals to employers.

Why should I create a video CV?

Video CVs help you stand out by showing communication skills, confidence, creativity, and personality beyond a traditional CV.

How long should my video CV be?

You can record or upload a 30 second video.

What should I include in my video CV?

You should include:

  • A short introduction
  • Your experience and skills
  • Key achievements
  • Why you are a good fit for roles

Do I still need a traditional CV?

Yes. A traditional CV works alongside your video CV and provides detailed employment history.

Can I upload videos from my phone?

Yes. You can record or upload videos directly from mobile devices.

What video formats are supported?

Common formats include:

  • MP4
  • MOV
  • WebM

Videos must be 50MB or smaller.

Can I edit or replace my video later?

Yes. You can update or replace your video CV anytime from your profile dashboard.

Is my video CV reviewed before it goes live?

Yes. Uploaded video CV's are reviewed by our team before they are approved for use on your profile and job applications.

Is my video CV public?

Your profile visibility settings control whether employers can discover your profile before you apply. You can keep your profile public, or hide it until you apply for a role. Once approved, your video CV is shown to employers who can view your profile.

What if I am camera shy?

You can:

  • Use slides or portfolio visuals
  • Record multiple takes
  • Keep your video simple and conversational

Are captions/subtitles supported?

This platform does not currently add captions automatically. We recommend adding captions in your video editing software before uploading, as this improves accessibility and engagement.
